Brain mechanics by Sergio Beva Book PDF Summary

I propose the project of an artificial brain human like. It hinges on neurophysiology and psychophysics and it develop within the groove of classic mechanics. I discuss: how the tangle of electrical excitations produced in the brain on observing the world can be interpreted as the image of this same world; how the image can be recognised and how humans can move in the environment; how language and grammatical variations are formed. I have simulate part of human visual processes on the computer, those which do not involve movement; what remains must be considered hypothetical theory.

Handbook of Imaging in Biological Mechanics

Emerging imaging techniques have opened new fronts to investigate tissues, cells, and proteins. Transformative technologies such as microCT scans, super-resolution microscopy, fluorescence-based tools, and other methods now allow us to study the mechanics of cancer, dissect the origins of cellular force regulation, and examine biological specimens

Neuronal Mechanics and Transport

Understanding the underlying mechanisms of how axons and dendrites develop is a fundamental problem in neuroscience and a main goal of research on nervous system development and regeneration. Previous studies have provided a tremendous amount of information on signaling and cytoskeletal proteins regulating axonal and dendritic growth and guidance. However,
